Here
is the most recent update I was sent from my playerfriend that contacted me after not
getting paid:
Subj: Cashbreak Casino
Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2002 5:30:39 PM Eastern Standard Time
Hi XXXX,
It has turned up that there has been a problem with the software. In
fact, we have shut down the casino because of it.
You will be receiving money, however, we do not know what amount that
will be yet. If you could forward your wiring instructions to us it will
help expidiate the process. I know you've been worried about your winnings. We have been
told that we should know what the true winnings of
those concerned are by the end of this week.
Please use and respond to this address when wanting to get intouch
with us, as it is the only email address we are keeping regarding the
casino.
Best regards,
Anne Luden
She never received
any kind of payment at all, and finally contacted me when she felt ample time had been
given for the casino to pay her.
This I am sad to
say is my reply:
I don't want you to think I am forgetting about you,
as I think I've proven my good intentions with actions up to now but I just
don't see any kind of angle to base a letter to the casino about.
At this point they have nothing to
lose so after long and hard thought I decided you were best off to not
have me involved any further.
Please note that in the time it
took me to write you this letter, I c oul d easily have written them one
instead. So it is not that I've become lazy or indifferent to your cause. But
I think that now you are completely at the mercy of their kindness / discretion and
a letter from me might only make them angry.
about Pyramid: from what I've
gathered Pyramid is little better and since they aren't the casino that owes
you I doubt there is any pressure to be laid at their doorway.
I'm sorry if I've let you down, but these
are the realities.
As for fortune casino; or any other that I
don't list I can only say that you should have learned from cashbreak that just
because a casino looks professionally put together and even if it is
licensed is no guarantee that you will get paid.
I urge you to take note of how
happy you were when you hit the jackpot at Windows casino; and furthermore how
quickly and painfree it was to get paid, and how good it was to hold that check in
your hand without ever having to "fight the man eating crocodile" that so many
online casinos seem to put their customers through in order to get paid.
Those are the kind of experiences I try
very hard to find for my patrons so to continue that kind of experience
please stick with the casinos I keep listed.
: end section of email reply
I'm sorry I couldn't help her any further, but I am
happy to say that I was able to point her towards a casino that she has already won *and
collected on a jackpot.
